Tuition and Fees

Full-time tuition includes all textbooks and curriculum, whether in printed or electronic form. It also includes school pictures, a copy of the yearbook for each student, and most field trips. For Grades 7 through 12, the tuition also covers an educational technology cost to provide each student with an Asus Transformer T100 tablet, along with all associated security and support.

Uniform Expenses

All students are required to wear uniforms. These may be purchased from Flynn & O’Hara Uniform Company; some items may be obtained through a free uniform exchange on campus.

Financial Aid

Trinity Christian School offers financial aid to admitted families on the basis of their individual needs and according to established guidelines. Financial aid is funded by private donations and by a portion of the school’s anticipated tuition income. Applications for financial aid must be submitted annually.

Financial aid applications are processed through FAST (Financial Aid for School Tuition), an online service. FAST does not decide whether financial aid will be given nor the amount of financial aid, but rather provides an impartial analysis report to the school and recommends the amount a family should reasonably contribute towards tuition.

Financial aid is awarded only after a student has been formally accepted and all required documentation has been submitted to FAST.

Current TCS families applying for financial aid may submit enrollment agreements for next school year without the tuition deposit pending the financial aid award decision. A $600 tuition deposit per child will be due once the financial aid award is offered.

Financial aid cannot exceed 50% of the family’s total tuition expense and applies only to tuition. All other fees must be paid in full.

Instructions

The application process is self-guided and allows navigation in and out of the program. FAST provides online customer support via email and a 24/7 telephone call center. Please go to the FAST website for complete instructions.

Application Fee

The nonrefundable application fee is payable by credit card. If you wish to pay by check, please contact the Business Office (703.273.8787 x130) to purchase a voucher before beginning the application.

Pre-addressed envelopes are available in the Business Office. If a pre-addressed envelope is not used, please write “Trinity Christian School” below the return address to ensure faster processing of the application.

What is the deadline for financial aid applications?

The deadline for online applications is February 28. The postmark date for mailing all tax documents to FAST is March 7.

When will we receive a financial aid decision?

Responses to financial aid applications filed by the deadline are supplied in writing by mid-to-late March, or two weeks after applying.

How much aid may a family receive?

Financial aid cannot exceed 50% of the family’s total tuition expense and applies only to tuition. All other fees must be paid in full.

Who makes the financial aid decisions?

An ad hoc committee of the Board of Trustees makes financial aid decisions after reviewing the FAST report and supporting materials.

What factors are evaluated in making the financial aid decisions?

The financial aid committee takes the following factors into account to determine a family’s eligibility for aid:

  • Number of children enrolled currently
  • Total number of school-age children
  • Total family income
  • Net worth
  • Housing costs
  • Cost of living for our area
  • Significant health-related expenses
  • Employment in full-time Christian ministry
  • Single parent or child support issues
  • Previous payment history with the school
  • Other extenuating circumstances

All families applying for financial aid are asked to seriously explore all other avenues of meeting their tuition needs (e.g., help from extended family members, part-time employment) before turning to the school for assistance.

If I apply for admission after February, may I still apply for financial aid?

Funds are limited, with a large percentage awarded to those who meet the February deadline. However, a limited amount is set aside annually for families applying later.
