Annual Fundraising
Tuition alone does not completely cover the cost of a Trinity education. Therefore, the school engages in several means of ongoing, annual fundraising for the general operating account. Each year approximately 2.5% of the operating budget must be raised through a combination of gifts and the following programs.
Scrip - Gift Card Sales is a program in which Trinity's PTO partners with the school to facilitate grocery and retail gift card (scrip) sales. This fundraiser is a "no cost" opportunity for friends and families of the school to purchase gift cards for routine purchases, and a percentage of the proceeds go to Trinity. Read-A-Thon is Trinity's mid-winter fundraising program which encourages good reading habits for students in grades one through eight. Students ask friends and family who are interested in supporting Christian education at Trinity to sponsor their reading efforts.
PTO Events and Programs are many and varied throughout the year. In the past, the PTO has sponsored a gift-wrap sales program in September as its primary operating budget fundraiser. There are numerous opportunities such as Breaking Bread nights which encourage fellowship and support the school. In addition, the PTO hosts an annual spring event which often serves as a boost to the school's capital campaign.

Headmaster Scholarship Fund
Eight percent of Trinity's annual operating budget is set aside for the tuition assistance program. In addition to this amount, the Board of Trustees has established a Headmaster Fund to provide tuition support to selected students at the discretion of the Headmaster. Typically, awards are given to students who are not eligible for the financial aid program or when financial aid funds are no longer available. The Headmaster may use the fund to target specific needs or programs of the school or to respond to special circumstances that may arise. For information about contributing to this fund, contact the Office of the Headmaster at OHM@tcsfairfax.org .
