Alumni Art Show
Welcome to Trinity Christian School’s online Alumni Art Show. The purpose of this fall 2011 exhibition is to highlight recent accomplishments of our graduates in the area of visual arts. This is a forum for alumni to share what they have been doing since graduating from TCS. According to Deb Dayhoff, upper school visual arts department chair and art teacher, “What we do now, at the secondary level, has an impact on the future. As Christians in the visual arts, we have a unique opportunity to convey the gospel in a visual way. Visual arts provide a communication tool to and in the world about what we believe.” Alumni who would like to submit pieces for Trinity’s next show are welcome to send their .jpg files, along with the title and the medium used, to alumni@tcsfairfax.org.

Featured Alumni Artists
Annesley Williams ’10 is studying Illustration at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).
Benjamin Keith ’10 is majoring in Agriculture Communications at Ohio State. Benjamin reports: “Working with Mrs. Dayhoff developed my eyes for color and contrast. Another thing she helped me develop was subtlety. Experimentation was encouraged in Trinity's art program, something for which I am quite thankful. Pomerane Hall Lighting is an exercise in monochrome and apparent symmetry. It takes a closer look to realize the subtle asymmetry of the piece: a symmetrical pattern laid orthogonal to another. Pomerane Hall Basketball Court was an experiment, using a computer program to stitch multiple shots into one. Basketball Court was the end product of a program that stitched together ten separate images. I wasn't sure how well the program I used would turn out, but its success is what really makes this image.”
Whitney Blankenship ’10 attends Grove City College. She reports: “Recently I have been more into photography, and really enjoyed my pottery class at GCC. I have also been making art based on Bible verses.”
