Provisional Acceptance

School records or admission data that indicate an academic or behavioral problem may result in the student being admitted provisionally. The conditions of provisional acceptance are designed to assist in making up for weaknesses or gaps in previous learning or to give the student an opportunity to demonstrate positive maturing and acceptable performance. The provision is evaluated at the midpoint of the first trimester and again at the end of the first trimester. If there has not been satisfactory progress, alternative plans will be addressed, including but not limited to the transfer of the student to another educational setting. Any special conditions for admission will be explained to parents carefully and provided in writing. We desire all children admitted to have maximum opportunity for success in our school program.

English as a Second Language

In the case where English is spoken as a second language in the home, a student's acceptance might also be provisional. Families are strongly encouraged to immerse their child in the English language. Each applicant will be evaluated on an individual basis. Trinity Christian School does not currently offer ESOL programs or enroll students requesting Form I-20 status.

Wait Pool

In the event that an applicant successfully completes the application process for a particular grade and a seat is not available, the applicant will be given the option of remaining in a wait pool. Qualified students from the wait pool fill seats as they become available. If a seat does not become available before the start of the school year, the wait pool remains active until the end of the first semester for mid-year entrance. At that time, an applicant may choose to remove his/her name from the wait pool or convert their status to the coming year’s applicant pool with priority status. (See Applicants) Each applicant will be asked to update information, retest at the current grade level, and provide a current report card and recent standardized test scores. Additional information may be requested from the Office of Admission as needed.
